A Youth-led initiative that strives to advocate for anti-racism, anti-police brutality and inclusivity throughout Malaysia.
ANTI RACISM
Racism is the main issue in Malaysia standing in the way of achieving amity and solidarity. This is because of the Malay, Chinese, Indian and Others narrative. We at Project MK firmly believe anyone who is born in Malaysia should be listed as Malaysian instead of being separated into racial groups.
ANTI POLICE BRUTALITY
On average, 18 people have died in police custody in Malaysia every year between 2000-2018. Project MK strongly believes that prison should be a form of rehabilitation instead of solely punishment if we aim to reduce crime rates and achieve an overall higher standard of civilization.
INCLUSIVITY
Project MK is aware of the incredibly low levels of inclusivity in Malaysia. This would include differently-abled individuals as well as minority races and skin colours. In line with this, we aim to spread awareness on the benefits of inclusivity in entertainment as well as advertising on top of the faults in the current status quo of inclusivity.
